Made to be signed.

PY is a product company. We build our own software, and take on client work as PY & Co. It all ships under the same initials, so it all has to be good.

Software worth signing. One name goes on all of it, and every release has to be worth carrying it.

How we work

A few things we hold to.

FIG 0.1

We build what should exist

We build what we are convinced should exist, whether that is a gap we spotted or a conviction we hold. If we do not believe in it, we do not make it.

FIG 0.2

Beauty is function

A confusing or ugly product has not done its job. How it works and how it feels are the same thing.

FIG 0.3

Great design, great engineering

Greatness lives where disciplines meet. Ours is the intersection of world-class design and serious engineering. Neither half is enough alone.

FIG 0.4

We stay with it

Launch is the start, not the finish. We keep what we ship running and quietly getting better, and we never run out of ways to improve it.

FIG 0.5

Honest by design

No ads, no dark patterns, nothing built to trick the person using it. What you see is what it is.

FIG 0.6

AI on our terms

We own the tools, not the other way around. AI-native by conviction, used with intent, never a crutch or a gimmick.

FIG 0.7

For the One

We give the work the best we have. Good enough is somebody else’s measure. It has never been ours.

Behind the work

PY is a signature.

PY are the initials of Paulo Yamagishi, who founded the company and runs it. He stays close to everything it makes. The initials point to a person, not a brand.
